About The Position

ASRC Federal System Solutions (AFSS) is seeking an ORION Flight Operations Test Engineer in Littleton, CO Specific Job Duties: Perform Systems Operations Integration on the Orion Contract Perform Operations Engineering for flight operations documentation. Perform the Thermal Heater Control Subject Matter Expert duties. Evaluate software and hardware requirements and specifications. Develop console products and prelaunch/mission timelines for use in testing and operations. Support Mission Control Center (MCC) as a Console Operator monitoring and analyzing data in the electrical power control & distribution, mechanical systems, thermal control system, and the pyrotechnic control system. Develop test procedures, displays and scripts for spacecraft testing in various systems. Perform test verification in the Integration Test Laboratory and testing on the Orion flight vehicle in the Operations & Checkout building at KSC and Thermal/Vacuum testing at NASA Plum Brook Station. Provide post testing reports and analysis. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline and 5-7 years of related experience. Must be a U.S. citizen Required Skills: Experience with assembly, integration, and test of ground support equipment and/or flight hardware subsystems onto a Flight Spacecraft. Knowledge/experience with electronic circuits, automated test software, manufacturing processes, and the manufacturing test environment. Fundamental knowledge of spacecraft/aerospace test operations. Experience with COTS equipment and system integration, electrical/electronic troubleshooting and design including RF and telemetry systems. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to develop and maintain effective cross- functional relationships and an ability to work and lead in a team environment. Solid engineering skills/foundation including problem/anomaly identification, analysis, resolution and closure in support of testing. Experience generating test plans and test procedures for EGSE and/or spacecraft HW. Willing to support extended work hours when required Desired Skills: Data Analysis skills. Ability to troubleshoot complex Avionics. Test software and script development experience. UNIX/LINUX Experience Experience with scripting languages (Shell/Bash, Python, Perl) Experience developing EGSE requirements and performing EGSE functional testing. Experience developing and executing procedures in Automation Framework. Experience with spacecraft commanding and telemetry monitoring software. ASFF brings a 14-year history of delivering high-performance space systems engineering, integration and satellite operations services to civil and defense agencies. Requirements
