About The Position

Mechanical Dynamics and Analysis LLC, a world-class supplier of power generation services, parts, and repairs, has an immediate opening for a qualified individual who has a desire to join a growing organization and an appetite for diverse and technically challenging work. MD&A's Turbine Generator Controls Division in Fort Collins, CO, is seeking an experienced OT Network & Cyber Security Engineer who will own and advance MD&A’s internal lab OT network and cybersecurity posture, lead the design and implementation of OT network architectures for customer sites, and ensure secure, compliant connectivity across all environments. Serve as the primary owner of MD&A’s internal lab OT network and associated cybersecurity controls. Develop standardized OT network architectures for customer-site installations. Implement or modify customer-site OT networks and data-collection systems, ensuring compliance with current NERC CIP requirements. Manage and maintain patch management processes for OT network devices and cybersecurity infrastructure, ensuring timely identification, testing, and deployment of security updates across all lab and customer site environments. Work with the Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics lead to ensure the secure, reliable collection and analysis of customer operational data. Collaborate with MD&A’s IT department to establish secure remote connectivity to customer sites. Maintain and update internal standards to ensure OT networks align with organizational requirements and industry best practices. Review customer specifications and contribute to project budgeting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cyber, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Information Technology or Computer Engineering or related field of study
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge of industrial automation OT networks and cybersecurity protection schemes
  • Demonstrated experience administering switched networks, including router and firewall configuration
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across IT, OT, engineering, and vendor teams
  • Practical cybersecurity experience in OT environments, including implementing least privilege access, securing remote connections through jump hosts, managing certificates, maintaining accurate asset inventories, and executing effective patch management practices
  • Up to 25% travel and field work at customer locations
