About the position

Shelby School District is seeking a motivated, enthusiastic, JH/HS Title Teacher with an endorsement in Science, Social Studies, English, and/or Math for the 2025-26 School Year. Other areas of certification will be considered. The position requires K-12 or 5-12 Certification. The salary range for this position is $41,615 to $73,795, along with a $2,000 signing bonus. Activity stipends are available for individuals interested in coaching and/or advising positions during the school year. An insurance stipend covers a full single health insurance plan.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily lesson plans
• Monitor students at all times during regular school hours and student events
• Adhere to all curriculum standards
• Apply curriculum standards to daily lessons and concepts taught
• Use the grading system developed by the district
• Assess and evaluate current curriculum material
• Conform to district rules as outlined in the Staff Handbook
• Provide proper student supervision at all times including student assemblies
• Keep data and records on all students
• Participate in two District Parent/Teacher Conferences
• Participate in District Open Houses
• Attend staff functions including staff meetings
• Participate in all staff trainings
• Maintain all certification requirements
• Extra duties as assigned to maintain a functional school environment
