About The Position

Follett currently has an opportunity for an Outbound Supervisor to join our team at our Easton, PA location! Job Summary: The Outbound Supervisor is responsible for supervising both employees and processes for shipping finished goods and parts. They are also involved in the customer fulfillment process for service and spare parts to ensure orders are picked, packed, shipped accurately and safely, and on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or related field preferred or relevant experience in lieu of degree required.
  • Experience using ERP systems, proficiency with CSI Syteline preferred.
  • 5+ years’ supervisory experience; in a union environment a plus.
  • Experienced with data management and data analytics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to lift and/or carry of up to 25 lbs.
  • Must be flexible to work weekend Supervisor coverage rotation (weekend coverage is compensated hourly).
  • Extended periods of walking.
  • Noise level: low to moderate.
  • Work Environment: Office/exposure to non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and leads warehouse outbound staff (pickers, packers, shippers).
  • Identifies and implements process improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Coordinates picking, packing and shipping schedules for customer fulfillment.
  • Ensures accurate and timely customer shipments.
  • Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations.
  • Handles ERP system processes and troubleshooting of related issues.
  • Investigates shipping errors, identifying bottlenecks and implements corrective actions to mitigate future issues.
  • Implement appropriate discipline per the collective bargaining agreement and company guidelines recommending termination of employment when necessary.
  • Assist with cycle counting and yearly physical inventory.
  • Maintains and approves all work records utilizing automated time & attendance system for attendance and payroll applications.
  • Special projects/responsibilities as assigned.
