About The Position
Outside Retail Sales Associate Full-time; weekend availability during peak seasons. Starting pay: $15.61 - 16.12/hr. depending on experience. Location: 2121 E Mulberry St. Fort Collins, Colorado Do you love plants and helping people succeed in their gardens? Fort Collins Nursery is seeking an Outside Retail Sales Associate to provide an exceptional customer experience in our Perennials and Woody plant departments. This role is perfect for someone with a positive attitude, a passion for plants, and a desire to help customers find the right products for their gardening needs. What You’ll Do Welcome and consult with customers to understand their gardening needs and preferences. Provide information about plants, products, and Fort Collins Nursery services, including promotions and discounts. Assist customers in selecting plants and recommend appropriate solutions to help them succeed. Maintain a positive attitude and foster strong relationships with both customers and coworkers. Process and stock products, participate in routine inventory checks, and assist with restocking as needed. Care for and maintain plants in the Outside Departments. Handle customer issues professionally and work toward positive resolutions. Support general nursery operations as needed.
Requirements
- Quick learner with strong attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with conflict resolution and team-building skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a busy retail environment.
- Ability to anticipate customer needs and recommend products accordingly.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively with team members.
- Weekend availability required; flexibility for overtime during busy season.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail experience preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of nursery products preferred.
