About The Position

The Outpatient Clinics at Bethany Children's Health Center serve a wide variety of patient populations. From General Pediatrics to Physiatry / Physical Medicine & Rehab, to Neurology and Behavioral Health, we strive to meet our patients where they are and provide top-notch comprehensive medical care along the way. As an RN or LPN, you will render professional nursing service in the treatment and care of our pediatric patients from birth and beyond with a variety of medical complexities who seek outpatient care. You will consult with the physician to maximize the potential of every patient. All RNs or LPNs perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and core values of excellence, integrity, compassion, service and stewardship.

Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; high school diploma required
• Registration and current RN or LPN license in Oklahoma.
• Current CPR certification and PALS Certification within 1 year of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Utilize strong listening as well as verbal and written communication skills to ensure all parties involved have complete knowledge and understanding in a timely manner.
• Maintain efficient and appropriate patient flow in and out of prepared exam rooms by greeting and directing patients in a timely manner, obtain and document necessary appointment information, complete provider orders and discharge information.
• Maintain appropriate technical skills of procedures to include vaccine administration, oral, nebulized or IM injections of medications, obtaining blood draws via venipuncture or central line access with proper specimen handling, as well as in-house lab testing. Physiatry nurses will perform baclofen pump refills as well as assist with botox procedures
• Process medication refills, referral requests, and write letters in a timely manner according to the provider’s standards.
• Other duties as assigned
