About The Position

Heritage Oaks Hospital is part of the UHS Family of Providers which has been highly regarded as an integral part of the greater Sacramento and Northern California mental health system since 1988. Conveniently located in northern Sacramento, Heritage Oaks is a fully accredited, 125-bed acute psychiatric hospital offering a full range of individually tailored treatment services to adolescents, adults, and senior adults, including treatment for substance abuse and chemical dependency issues with drugs and alcohol. Heritage Oaks is a Medicare provider in addition to contracts with most commercial health insurance plans. Website: https://heritageoakshospital.com/ The Program Manager for Outpatient Services is accountable for the day-to-day clinical and personnel management at individual program sites. Under the supervision of the Director of Outpatient Services and in collaboration with the Program Director and the clinical staff, this position assesses, develops, implements and evaluates program philosophy, goals, objectives, and treatment interventions. This position provides the on-site leadership necessary for successful program development and maintenance through appropriate, organized, and program-focused activities.

Requirements

  • Education: Master's Degree in mental health/behavioral sciences field required or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum five (5) years experience in psychiatric/mental health field, with a minimum of three (3) years in a lead/managerial capacity preferred.
  • Licensure: Appropriate State Licensure/license eligible in field of expertise or registration with the California Board of Behavioral Science is required.
  • Additional Requirements: Handle with Care training within 90 days of employment and CPR

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day program services, consulting with Director of Outpatient Services and the Program Director in the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the clinical services.
  • Maintain awareness of current mental health activities in the community.
  • Maintain awareness of community and market-related activities which includes knowledge of the activities of other providers, needs of local payers and the political climate related to mental health.
