About The Position

Performs radiographic procedures at a technical level requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning and physiology, a high degree of technical competency and with the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity with a minimum of supervision. Apply ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis in adult and/or pediatric radiology. Other duties as deemed necessary. Graduated from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Performs high quality diagnostic radiology examinations for the physician’s interpretation; prepares and administers various contrast agents under supervision of a physician. Practices sterile technique when applicable and universal precautions during procedures/ exams. Monitors any staff and/or student activities during clinical assignments in the technologist’s perspective area. Additional Job Description Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Experience: At least two years of modality specific work experience required. Registration/Certification: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred. Skill Set: Fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and flexible to rotate. Requirements
