Job Description Summary: Schedule: Tuesday - Friday, No weekends & No holidays • 8:00am – 4:30pm The Oncology and Hematology Outpatient Clinic is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Registered Nurse to support Providers in the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This position focuses on administrative and clinical coordination rather than direct procedures, emphasizing patient triage, message management, documentation, and coordination of care across multidisciplinary teams. In this role, the RN will partner closely with Providers, MAs, and Pharmacy team members to ensure efficient patient flow and continuity of care. Responsibilities include fielding patient inquiries, assisting with prior authorizations and disability paperwork, supporting follow-up scheduling, and maintaining timely communication with patients. This position is ideal for a nurse who thrives in a structured, fast-paced setting where organizational skills and patient advocacy are key. The clinic environment is known for its collaborative and welcoming culture where teamwork, positivity, and celebrating small wins are a part of daily operations. While oncology and ambulatory experience is preferred, it is not required. Nurses with strong communication skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to patient coordination will be successful in this role. Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care in diverse health care settings. The RN is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing. The RN delegates nursing tasks to licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and unlicensed assistive personnel (UAPs) using the criteria written in the Ohio Nurse Practice Act. According to department policies and nursing care standards, provides professional nursing care services to patients. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care provided to assigned patients.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree (Required)
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Ohio Board of Nursing
  • Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio

Responsibilities

  • Assessment/Diagnosis Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual.
