About The Position

Outpatient Registered Nurse - RN - PRN Opportunity Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital provides inpatient treatment services to adolescents and adults at our 86-bed facility in Panama City, FL and outpatient services to adolescents and adults at our three outpatient centers located throughout the Florida Panhandle. Our specialized multidisciplinary treatment services are provided by highly trained psychiatrists, therapists, addiction counselors, nurses, and activities therapists. Emerald Coast Behavioral Health is owned and operated by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS). Visit us online at: https://emeraldcoastbehavioral.com/ The Outpatient RN provides nursing care for patients in an Outpatient setting to include completing nursing assessments, urinalysis, vital signs, and assisting provider(s) with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation(TMS) initial assessments. Provides leadership in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. Provides medical management and assessment of patients. Ensure environmental safety. Works with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited curriculum
  • Current FL RN License or Compact License required
  • Ability work at our Pensacola Outpatient Center in Pensacola, FL
  • Ability to work an 8a-12p or 12p-4pm schedule on an as needed basis.
  • Employment with Emerald Coast Behavioral Hospital requires successful completion of a Level II background Screening. Responsibilities

  • Conduct complete nursing assessment of all admissions including risk assessments, educational needs, and medication review. Completes all required nursing documents within established time frame.
  • Actively participate in treatment team decisions, assess patient needs, design and implement programs, and document / evaluate patient responses.
  • Ensure patient’s medication & treatment are administered as prescribed and that documentation reflects the care provided.
  • Initiate and account for Special Treatment Procedures to include Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, and assist provider in initial TMS assessments and provides all follow up TMS sessions to include proper documentation and billing requirements.
  • Complete needed documentation for insurance authorization and verification for all TMS patients as assigned.
  • Assist Manager in day to day operations to include answering phones, scheduling and verifying patient appointments, filing of paperwork, putting together/breaking down charts, and billing for IOP patients.
