About The Position
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Centers mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services directed towards achievement of positive patient care outcomes, maximizing the patients involvement in his/her own plan of care and reducing the length of hospitalization, The staff nurse plays a critical role in staff engagement , the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost effective care. The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients in alignment with the professional practice model.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing required
- Current Ohio RN license
- Two to three years of clinical experience in patient care setting required
- Holds a current certification in nursing administration or area of clinical expertise; or certification must be achieved within the timeline of eligibility
- Prior demonstration of leadership skills and related responsibilities
Nice To Haves
- Masters in Nursing or related field is preferred
