About The Position

The Outreach Coordinator is responsible for managing the Department’s external outreach in the area of investor financial education for the core demographic, including youth, college-aged students, working adults, retirees, seniors and military personnel.

Requirements

  • Education and experience requirements at this level consist of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university plus two (2) years’ professional supervisory, managerial, consultive, or technical administrative experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience substituting one year of professional experience in a supervisory or administrative capacity for each year of the requested education.

Responsibilities

  • Researching and recommending plans for educational outreach projects, initiatives and awareness campaigns.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key partners to deliver educational programming for specific demographic groups.
  • Creating content for outreach, with including online and social media platforms.
  • Making in-person presentations, writing articles, scripts, promotional materials, grant requests and various reports.
  • Representing the Department at different public events that are designed to educate the public and performing media interviews regarding Department activities.
  • Develop and implement the Department's external outreach communications strategy.
  • Engage meaningfully with the Department's social media presence.
  • Write and edit educational materials, such as articles, scripts, and promotional materials.
  • Create and deliver presentations on financial education topics.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key partners.
  • Stay up-to-date on investment and financial related news, trends, and products.
  • Occasional job-related travel may be required.
