High School Diploma or GED in Combination With One (1) Year of Life/Work Experience Working With HIV/STI and SUD/COD Scheduled: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm or 7am-4pm Flexible to Work Weekends & Evenings Full Benefits, Including 401K and Generous PTO/PST (4+ weeks)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED in combination with life/work experience working in the field of HIV and or Substance use/Mental Health field.
  • Minimum of one-year work experience and/or lived experience within the field of HIV, substance use and or mental health field.
  • Flexibility and ability to work evenings and weekends if the program management, including Director deems it necessary to achieve the objectives of the program.
  • Willing to work with all cultures and sub-cultures that comprise the population of Maricopa County in a non-judgmental and value clear manner.
  • Willingness to undergo phlebotomy certification is required.
  • High level of competency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum three (3) years driving experience, and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level 1) within seven (7) working days of assuming role.
  • Must pass a TB Test.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual preferred, not required.
  • Phlebotomy trained and certified preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Work as a team member with other personnel and collaborators to promote educations to improve health outcomes related to substance use, co-occurring disorders, HIV and other communicable diseases.
  • Focus on individuals experiencing homelessness and those with a substance use and/or co-occurring disorder.
  • Conduct 20 hours of community outreach throughout Maricopa County per week to educate residents, businesses and other stakeholders on the Department’s programs.
  • Assist 20 hours per week in the day-to-day operations of departments and programs that are affiliated with the Morning Program.
  • Responsible for administering rapid HIV/STI testing during outreach and in community settings and make appropriate referrals to healthcare and prevention services.
  • Facilitate a minimum of four (4) presentations per month at businesses and other stakeholders to educate residents on the services the department and Terros Health provides.
  • Assist in developing marketing and education materials for promotion and distribution.
  • Act as a point of contact for the department by responding to inquiries and requests or directing as appropriate and providing information regarding programs, courses, policies, and procedures to internal and external contacts.
