The Outside Facilities Maintenance team accomplishes cleaning and general maintenance tasks for buildings and grounds. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Essential Functions: Is responsible for grounds keeping, including: mowing lawns, pruning trees and bushes, keeping the grounds clean (power washing concrete) and manicured Is responsible for the maintenance of the exterior if the buildings including: repairs, painting, mechanical issues (A/C, drains, etc.) and cleaning of exteriors Has a working knowledge of sprinkler and irrigation systems. Has a working knowledge of vehicle maintenance. Assist to church staff for general maintenance tasks, as needed Assist in other maintenance tasks and construction tasks as assigned Assist outside event setups as needed Preference to individuals with experience with clerical work and vehicle maintenance. Safety: Works in a safe manner, recognizes unsafe situations and takes appropriate action to ensure the safety of themselves and others Able to safely operate power tools/equipment including but not limited to: chainsaws, hedge trimmers, mowers and blowers Able to safely operate heavy equipment including but not limited to: bobcat, forklift, pulling trailers Uses all installation tools according to company safety policy Training and Development: Must be willing to further develop skills and expertise in areas of responsibility through personal study, regular participation in our worship services, and participation in appropriate training seminars. Willing to be trained/certified as a bus driver of passengers. The above summary of duties represents the major tasks and duties.
