About The Position

Within our Value Added Companies, Outside Sales Representatives, aggressively driving sales growth through direct and in-person interactions with both potential and existing customers. They are responsible for building and maintaining strong customer relationships, understanding client needs, and presenting tailored solutions to meet those needs while ultimately contributing to the company's revenue goals.

Requirements

  • Business acumen and having the ability to understand and apply fundamental business principles to make informed decisions that drive sales success. Understanding company strategy, its products and services, its customers, and the broader market and industry.
  • Sales acumen and understanding how the business operates, how revenue is generated and the critical systems and processes that enable profitability.

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time traveling, in meetings, and sitting at a desk. This position will require standing for long periods of time, walking, and using hands and arms, lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs for trade shows, traveling, at customer locations, etc. In a sales position, you will be speaking often and listening actively with customers, the team, and business colleagues that includes both in person, virtually, and on the phone. The individual will require fine motor skills, using fingers to operate small tools such as a phone and computer, or other controls specific to the position. Able to see details or objects at a close range may be necessary for tasks like reading product labels or identifying specific items.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in related field is preferred (sales management, marketing). At least 5-7 years of applicable experience could be substituted for formal education.
  • Five to seven years of generating sales success in new markets.
  • Advanced knowledge of SharePoint and Microsoft 365 suite. Able to communicate, collaborate, and present on Microsoft Teams as needed.
  • Extensive knowledge of the function and associated with manufacturing (OEM) hydraulic mobile equipment.
  • Sales management, marketing, and technical sales are required.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies potential customers and qualifies them based on their needs and potential. Conducts outreach opportunities through calls, emails, and in-person meetings.
  • Maintains positive business relationships by contacting engineering and purchasing prospects, building rapport, and understanding their needs. Develops strong networks that leads to new opportunities and referrals.
  • Retains a deep knowledge of company products, services, cost-benefit analysis, and delivers compelling presentations with tailored solutions.
  • Provides ongoing support to existing customers. Build trust and create a positive experience for everyone.
  • Leverages sales enablement tools and strategies to enhance ability to effectively engage with customers and improve sales efficiency.
  • Negotiates prices and terms while closing sales deals.
  • Tracks sales performance, analyzing data, and generating reports to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement is crucial for optimizing sales performance.
  • Collaborates with internal teams such as marketing, sales, finance, and product development.
  • Achieves or exceeds sales quotas and goals within designated timeframes.
  • Able to adapt and be resilient with market changes, customer preferences, and supply chain challenges.
