Outside Processing Coordinator
About The Position
Heidtman Steel is seeking an Outside Processing (OP) Coordinator to join our team in Erie, MI. The OP Coordinator is responsible for receiving, costing, scheduling, producing, and shipping jobs at outside processors; servicing internal customers by performing job duties to help meet on-time delivery; and scheduling and prioritizing jobs based upon customer needs (both internal and external). Requirements
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize job instructions daily.
- Ability to follow written instructions on work order and SOP’s
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Detail oriented.
- Must be computer literate.
- Data entry experience and working knowledge of how processes work.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of Steel business terminology is helpful but not required.
- Invex ERP experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Costing jobs and sending work orders to OP warehouses
- Manual production for OP jobs
- Sending releases to OP warehouse, recording pick up numbers when necessary
- Reconciling shippers from OP warehouses and updating in the ERP System (Invex)
- Working closely with OP vendors to achieve Heidtman’s quality, margin, and on-time delivery goals, and updating warehouse schedules
- Reconcile invoicing issues (internal typically)
- Outside Processing Vendor relationship management.
- Other duties as assigned
