Requirements

Must have high school diploma or GED; College degree preferred,
Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and be able to efficiently document services in a timely manner
Have experience working in behavioral health with an in-depth understanding of overdose prevention
Must have valid TX driver's license and be insurable

Nice To Haves

Lived personal or family experience with substance abuse challenges and in recovery preferred

Responsibilities

Offer community-education on overdose prevention and overdose response
Provide accurate and current best practice information about addiction treatment, harm reduction, recovery, and overdose prevention
Offer community-based distribution of overdose reversal medications
Proficiently provide Overdose Prevention training and Naloxone distribution
Provide vigorous outreach throughout HHSC Regions 1 and engages community partners
Work as part of a team to meet performance measures
Efficiently document and submit reports and other data as required or requested
