About The Position

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking an Overnight Assistant Security Manager to join the only double Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences.
The Overnight Assistant Security Manager will be responsible for overseeing the property’s security operations on the assigned shift while working with all departments to promote a safe environment.

Requirements

• Associates degree obtained from an accredited institution. May be waived in lieu of relevant experience
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in Security or Loss Prevention with at least 1 year serving in management or supervisory capacity. Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred
• Must obtain a CPR certification, as well as a state issued Private Security Officer License within 30 days of hire date. Must achieve CLSO designation within 6 months of hire date
• Knowledge and understanding of state laws and municipal ordinances
• Basic computer proficiency including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and any security operation software systems
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required
• Capable of standing for extended periods of time while maintaining a friendly and approachable demeanor
• Ability to ascent multiple stairwell levels at an expedite pace in emergency instances

Nice To Haves

• Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Review daily activity reports to detect unusual activity, identify trends, and correct hazardous discrepancies
• Promote a safe working environment while adhering to OSHA mandated standards
• Train department team members on investigative techniques, incident reporting practices and regular reviews of work as submitted by team members
• Assist with the management of the property’s emergency preparedness programs while educating colleagues on procedures, implementing evacuation drills, regular checks of life/safety equipment. Assist with the continuous updates of plans and manuals as necessary.
• Conduct surveillance video review and archive surveillance footage.
• Serve as a liaison between the hotel and various law enforcement agencies with coordinating visits from high profile guests
• Represent the Post Oak Security Department in various meetings with both internal colleagues and external guests and clients
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
