About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Midtown, NY, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our thriving Overnight ICU/Patient Care department. This position is offering up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus based on experience Pay: $27.00 - $51.00 / hour + competitive shift differentials This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience. We offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4-hour minimum. For example: Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = +$4.50/hr. Shift Differential Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = +$4.50/hr. Shift Differential Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = +$8.00/hr. Shift Differential As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will: Assess and triage incoming patients to prioritize urgent care needs. Recognize and respond to patients at risk of arrest with advanced CPR protocols. Place IV catheters and advanced lines, including jugular catheters and central lines. Monitor and manage patients on mechanical ventilation. Perform diagnostics and closely monitor critical patients for changes. Provide advanced pain management, including CRIs and epidurals. Collaborate with veterinarians and team members to deliver exceptional care. Mentor and train co-workers, fostering a culture of learning and growth. Educate pet owners on post-emergency care and recovery plans. Maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced environment.
