Packaging and Quality Co-Op
About The Position
As a Packaging and Quality Co-Op, you’ll support the cross-functional process of bringing beauty products from concept to shelf by working closely with our developers, project managers, engineering, design, and global teams. You’ll gain experience in auditing finished goods, managing bill of materials (BOMs), updating specifications, setting up items, and supporting the Fill & Assembly process. This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Packaging Science, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field and looking to gain practical experience in the cosmetics and consumer goods industries. This co-op position requires a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week and will require to be onsite at our NY office a minimum of 3x a week.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably but not limited to Packaging, Chemical and Mechanical.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
- Strong communication skills and attention to details.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities when needed.
Responsibilities
- Review and route production against Standards with quality leader oversight
- Manage quality trackers
- Prepare monthly reports with quality director
- Work with suppliers, and cross functional team members to drive project to completion
- Participate in internal audits, documenting findings and supporting corrective actions
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives—analyzing product performance, resolving deviations and non-conformances
- Some travel to help with inspections and rework projects
