About The Position

Leads and performs a variety of process duties according to batch record and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in the pharmaceutical manufacturing department, but not limited to, operating machines, and assisting in the packaging of products.  The essential duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of those required on the job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience in manufacturing processes and equipment procedures
  • 2-5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical, medical device, and/or food manufacturing
  • Familiarity with Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other regulatory requirements
  • Understanding of SOP’s equipment and safety practices
  • Establishes and maintains cooperative working relationships with others
  • Must be able to speak and read in English
  • Ability to perform basic math computations
  • Follows verbal and written directions
  • Communicates clearly and concisely, both verbal and in writing

Responsibilities

  • Follows all policies, procedures, and State, Federal and Local laws.
  • Able to operate and/or learn how to operate a variety of manufacturing equipment: Cazzoli, Unit Dose Filters, Packaging Lines.
  • Ensure batch records, equipment log books, and other relevant records are completed correctly and currently.
  • Adheres to PAI’s uniform and gowning policies. Reports process or equipment problems to area supervision.
  • Performs changeovers and set-up of equipment for processing operations. Cleans and maintains packaging rooms and equipment.
  • Follows established department SOP’s. Ensure compliance with all PAI’s safety rules and regulations.
  • Appropriately always utilizes Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).b
  • Demonstrate competence in basic processes (evaluation).
  • Being learning Packaging OP II qualification material.
