A day in the life Prepare and operate assigned packaging machinery and statistical scales to achieve optimal throughput and quality. Dial in parameters on the HMI computer monitor—or make manual adjustments with switches, dials, levers, and knobs—to keep equipment in spec. Load labels, corrugate, and glue into the machines to sustain smooth operations. Perform manual changeovers on equipment, including the Quadrel Labeler and Douglas Casepacker. Document production, equipment tests, and quality checks on designated forms. Visually verify interior and exterior equipment cleanliness following manual cleaning and COP tank sanitation processes. Join pass-down/shift-change huddles to exchange updates on recipes, cleaning status, production progress, and equipment issues. Plan start/stop timing and calculate raw material needs to achieve shift targets. Work environment and physical expectations Comfortable working in hot or cold areas, standing for extended periods, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Willing and able to work at heights using ladders or lifts as needed. Capable of climbing, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and stretching for extended periods, and repeatedly lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and handling product— with or without a reasonable accommodation. What you bring Age 18 or older. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and off-shifts. Mechanical aptitude; 1+ year of machine operation experience in a high-speed manufacturing setting is a strong indicator of success. Basic math skills; ability to read and write in English.
