About Our Internship Program: Throughout your internship, you will have regular events, weekly lunch and learn sessions, and receive customized training from our business units. This is a unique opportunity to gain valuable insights into supporting the needs of Stanley Black & Decker both in the US and abroad. The interns will gain first-hand exposure to Stanley Black & Decker and have the opportunity to build a cross-functional professional network. Interns are expected to adapt to change and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, creativity, and confidence. Interns must be team-oriented and collaborative. The Job: During your internship, you will have the opportunity to support Packaging Engineering with key activities including: Design, innovate, and execute packaging solutions, working closely with supportive resources. Work with global packaging team and suppliers to develop packaging requirements, material specifications, and project priorities. Develop packaging structures to maximize quality/cost based on regionally available materials and qualify through testing. Develop specifications, labeling, and approvals of packaging structures. Create prototypes for customer line reviews and sales pitches with major retailers. You will have exposure to several areas of the Packaging Engineering at Stanley Black & Decker. You will work on a wide variety of tasks and projects with a cross-functional team of professionals. The Person: The ideal Packaging Engineering intern candidate will have the following qualifications: Be a rising junior or senior with a target graduation date of 2026 or 2027 Actively pursuing a degree in Packaging Science, Packaging Engineering or related field. Maintains strong academic credentials. Basic understanding of packaging-related manufacturing processes including, but not limited to, printing, die-cutting, thermoforming, injection, and blow molding. Basic understanding of packaging materials (corrugated, paperboard, plastic) and characteristics for packaging structural design Familiar with Artios CAD, TOPS/Cape and Adobe Creative The Details: This position will provide you with: A utility role interacting with key members of a Fortune 500 company.
