About The Position

Mid‑State Sales is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Packaging & Shipping Associate to support daily warehouse operations. This position is responsible for preparing customer orders for shipment, ensuring products are packaged securely, and coordinating outgoing freight with common carriers. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Experience with LTL freight shipments and industrial products is a plus.
Mid-State Sales was established in Columbus, Ohio in 1969, and has built its reputation as the national leader in the manufacturer and distributor of fluid transfer products, specifically hydraulic hose assemblies, fluid transfer assemblies, tube assemblies, and adapters. Mid-State Sales is both a fabricator and distributor of fluid transfer products, fluid transfer assemblies and hydraulic components. Our fluid transfer products are optimized for both OEM customers and products and for industrial customers and users. In addition, Mid-State Sales leads the industry in custom solutions from our tube assembly production team, enabling your original equipment manufacturer’s unique product with our engineering guidance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1-3+ years of warehouse experience, including forklift operation
• Previous warehouse, packaging, or shipping experience preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more safely
• Basic computer skills for shipping systems and documentation
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

• Experience with LTL shipments and freight carriers is a plus

Responsibilities

• Package and prepare customer orders for shipment
• Verify order accuracy and product quantities before shipping
• Label, palletize, and stage shipments for pickup
• Coordinate shipments with parcel carriers and LTL freight providers
• Print shipping labels, bills of lading, and other shipping documentation
• Assist with loading and unloading inbound and outbound shipments
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Communicate with warehouse and office staff to ensure timely order fulfillment
