About The Position

The Gill Corporation is one of the world's largest manufacturers of honeycomb, high performance floor panels, cargo compartment liners and original equipment for passenger and freighter aircraft. The company also excels in many other types of reinforced plastics including interior sandwich panels for creating structures such as aircraft galleys and bulkheads, honeycomb core and related products. The Gill Corporation is seeking a Packer/Shipper I to construct pallets, label & pack panels, cores or other materials in preparation for shipping. Reporting to the Shipping Manager, they will perform but not be limited to the following responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Sufficient English Skills – must be able to read and understand all company documents
  • Company ERP system and Basic PC Skills – as required.
  • 1-2 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to demonstrate math proficiency equal to or greater than required for the position applied.
  • Must be available to work the shift specified by the position and be flexible to potential overtime on weekends/ holidays.
  • ITAR Requirement: This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants will be asked to provide specific documentation to verify U.S. person status under the ITAR and the EAR. A “U.S. person” according to their definition is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or protected individual such as a refugee, or asylee.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles wooden skids using tools, wood product and other materials according to required packaging codes.
  • Completes product count and ensures type and quantity as it conforms to internal pack list.
  • Generate shipping labels for packages. Must be accurate and validate or verify data prior to labels
  • Packs finished product into boxes or drums, using strapping or tape. Applies labels for shipping.
  • Must be able to use tools such as bench saw, table saw, hammer, nails, nail gun, staple gun, glue gun, and steel strapping, etc.
  • Must know how to read and follow internal shipping instructions, make stamps or labels have knowledge of company products.
  • Must be available to work any shift, over-time and weekends.
  • Must keep product and all work areas neat and clean
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
