About The Position

Responsible for reading orders, labeling skids and properly packing labels for shipment within job specifications and company quality standards to ensure that the packaging meets or exceeds overall customer satisfaction and service expectations. Essential Functions: Must have reading skills necessary to understand orders and labeling on skids in order to properly pack labels for shipment. Must be able to use a ruler to verify that label is within specifications and should be able to maintain an accurate label count. Must be able to distinguish subtle shades of color. (Colorblind test is required). Must be able to comprehend and follow detailed instructions without constant supervision. Must be able to distinguish slight differences in color, color hue, thicknesses, textures, and images within words or letters. Must be agile. Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, climbing, etc., necessary to move rolls on and off and to set controls on the machine. Must have physical strength to stand for lengthy periods of time. Must be able to lift and maneuver 30-50 pound boxes. Must interact with management, label press production, and quality control. Reading, writing, computer and math/analytical skills necessary to understand production orders and enter information for skid labels. Effective communication skills in order to interact with members of department. Ability to evaluate, assess and make decisions. Must have good organizational skills to maintain good records. Comply with all OSHA safety requirements. Responsible for compliance with all regulatory, facility food safety, and quality policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs) policies and procedures.

  • Employee must be completely alert at all times to operate machinery in a proper manner.
