What You'll Do Palatine Park District is hiring PAFA Spirit Coaches. We are looking for individuals to coach 1st-8th grade cheer squads from July through the beginning of November depending on the age of the team. Squad coaches will be responsible for teaching all cheer skills, including jumps, motions, cheers and stunts. Coaches will be required to attend mandatory training in June and/or July. Coaches may be assigned to coach minis or football sideline cheer squads. Sideline cheer coaches should be available from late July for three nights a week (Tuesday-Thursday) for the first three weeks of the season. Once school starts, sideline coaches will practice one night a week (typically Wednesdays) and will participate at games on Saturday or Sunday from late August through the second week of November. Mini coaches will practice one night a week from mid-August through mid-October and will cheer at 2-5 games in September or October. Practices usually fall Wednesday nights for mini teams.
