About The Position

This position is primarily for educational or religious purposes and should be used for providing valuable educational experiences for the Intern. It is to give the Intern an opportunity to see how principles and practices learned in their educational institutions are applied in actual work setting. Under general supervision, the Intern performs work as assigned by the department. Headquarters Facilities mission is to care for and maintain headquarters facilities and support resiliency and events to create a place where the Spirit may reside, and the work of salvation and exaltation can be accomplished. Department: Headquarters Facilities – Planning, Design, and Construction Division Location: Salt Lake City, UT Schedule: 1 year internship, 20-28 hours per week Compensation: Hourly (paid internship) Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to support Revit Models and space data efforts within Headquarters Facilities. This role is ideal for students in their final year of school or recent graduates (within one year) who are pursuing a degree in interior design, architecture, and facilities management, or a related field. The position offers hands-on experience working with space data systems, floor plans, and real-world building audits across Headquarters facilities. What This Internship has to offer Compensation: New Higher Wages $22.50/hr+ depending on experience and education 20-28 hours per week, In-person at the Church Office Building in downtown Salt Lake City, Flexible schedule within standard business hours. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently have completed (within 1 year) a degree in interior design, architecture, facilities management, or related field (required).
  • 1–2 years of experience working with Revit software (required).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for audits; a personal vehicle is not required
  • Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation.
  • They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.

Responsibilities

  • Space Data & Software Maintenance Update the BIM models in Revit to represent current conditions and floor layouts.
  • Ensure complete and accurate space records by collecting and updating all room information, space types, and people assignments in the space data system.
  • Coordinate with various departments within the church on space data needs.
  • Support ongoing efforts to improve data completeness and quality.
  • Revit Floor Audits Travel to buildings along the Wasatch Front to conduct on-site audits.
  • Review and markup floor plans based on real-world conditions.
  • Collect current occupancy and space information to ensure accurate records.
  • Document changes and identify discrepancies between actual and recorded data.
