About The Position

Preps manufactured products and truck equipment to be painted. Operates paint equipment to ensure high quality finish and appearance. Maintains work area in a clean, organized manner. Responsible for maintaining paint equipment. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Reads and follows plans, material lists and guidelines and applies necessary timelines. Paints truck equipment and manufacture parts, etc. using an air spray system. Prepares parts and equipment for painting using thinner, an air blower and, if needed, sandblasting to ensure a clean painting surface. Maintains paint booth by setting up painting equipment, mixing paint and adjusting equipment to produce desired result. Manages the drying process and stores painted equipment appropriately. Maintains work area, equipment and supplies in neat, organized manner. Final inspection of finished work and timely completion of associated paperwork. Provide assistance to co-workers as requested by department management

Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to grip, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • This is a full-time position. Your manager will provide you with the specific details of your schedule. The schedule is subject to change due to customer requirements or business needs. Overtime may be necessary to handle emergencies, heavy workloads or other issues.
