About The Position

Pantry Stocker Job Overview: Ensure all inventory is received, organized, and placed in appropriate locations, as well as constantly monitor inventory and ensure it is visually appealing and stocked. Will unload and unpack items, mark/scan items with the correct expiration date, and stock shelves with received inventory. Some customer service may be involved, as may help members who visit our pantry Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Perform general stocking duties daily, including storing and stocking products in/on bins, pallets, shelves, racks, and refrigerators. Move, handle, and transport products, material, or supplies to other departments by utilizing hand and other means of transportation. Load, unload, and move heavy, inventory produce. Prepare goods for distribution day by sorting, bagging and restocking. Clean up and rotate can goods, produce by expiration date and day of arrival. Pick up food from various vendors weekly. Maintain inventory in spreadsheet. Restock and rotate produce. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards, remove and break down empty boxes. Follow safety policies and procedures. Accept packages and shipments. Prepare inventory for distribution day. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Food Handlers Certificate

High School Diploma or GED; or 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
