About The Position

We are searching for a Paralegal -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide legal support to the Assistant General Counsels in the Legal Department, the Director of the Legal Department, and other attorneys with contracting needs, with a primary focus on supporting the contract review and approval process including drafting contracts, management of the workflows, coordination of documents and obtaining signatures. Duties will also include performing legal research and writing, drafting of policies and procedures, healthcare regulatory matters as directed. Think you’ve got what it takes? Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Paralegal Certification required
  • A bachelor’s degree will substitute for four years of experience and the paralegal certification
  • 5 years paralegal experience required
  • 1 year experience working with contracts in a corporate department/law firm required

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and prepares legal documents/contract for review and approval of attorneys
  • Drafts memos to internal and external clients under supervision of attorneys
  • Provides support on intellectual property matters
  • Researches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions and legal articles. constitutions, and legal codes
  • Prepares and coordinates legal correspondence, reports, and presentations upon request
  • Maintains departmental contract and legal subject files and related online log in good order
  • Keeps legal files current and in good order so they can be retrieved easily
