About The Position

Perform wide range of paralegal duties in support of attorneys and department managers, including preparation of pleadings, legal documents, and correspondence; file and calendar management; and preparation of status reports. Respond to complex inquiries from clients and courts and provide administrative support necessary for efficient departmental operations.

Requirements

  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail, able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and confidentiality are critical.
  • Experience with State and Federal Court efiling.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education or industry specific experience in business or a related field preferred.
  • Certified Paralegal with a minimum of four (4) years of paralegal and/or management-level support experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to correspond professionally with clients, courts, and colleagues.
  • Litigation experience required; experience in mortgage servicing litigation preferred.
  • Proficient in working across multiple database and case management systems, producing high-quality, high-volume work with consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update internal electronic systems and client platforms with accurate information and case status, including LPS/BKFS, Clarifire, Tempo, Serengeti, and VendorScape; track case activity and assist attorneys with editing, proofreading, and finalizing legal documents.
  • Correspondence with outside counsel and clients; Submit filings to County, State and Federal courts.
  • Manage attorney calendars, court dates, hearing schedules, and critical deadlines to ensure timely and court compliant case progression.
  • Obtain required documentation from clients and other parties; draft pleadings, motions, applications, and proposed orders for attorney review; upload filings to internal and client systems; and maintain workflow steps within client platforms.
  • Correspond with County, State, and Federal courts; prepare and submit documentation for hearings to ensure attorney readiness and proper representation. Prepare for hearings by coordinating communications, assembling required records and data for attorney attendance.
  • Process incoming litigation mail; coordinate and track all outbound correspondence, including time-sensitive filings.
  • Review case information and retrieve pleadings, docket updates, and recorded documents from County Recorder, District, and Federal Court websites.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
