  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a large law firm and/or corporate legal department
  • Paralegal certification preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-4 years litigation experience
  • Proficiency with MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in handling sensitive and highly confidential matters in a professional manner, especially in the context of litigation

Responsibilities

  • Provides litigation support, including assisting in factual investigations, document collection, deposition scheduling, legal holds, and subpoena responses.
  • Provides support for employment matters, including offboarding and onboarding, drafting separation agreements and related correspondence, and performs preliminary non-compete analysis and related legal research.
  • Provides corporate governance support, including preparing and organizing legal documents such as contracts, initial and amended articles of incorporation, minutes, resolutions, and other documents for review.
  • Provides insurance support, including ensuring that claims are timely submitted to insurers, obtaining certificates of insurance when requested, and gathering information required for underwriting and renewals.
  • Maintain department matter tracker, including documenting interactions with internal clients.
  • Files correspondence and legal documents in office filing system.
  • Ensures proper indexing and filing of original legal documents.
  • Reviews and revises contracts for a variety of business units including sales contracting, human resources, manufacturing and procurement, including NDAs/CDAs.
  • Continuously review, improve and streamline processes and procedures relating to essential duties and responsibilities to increase efficiencies and effectiveness of responsible area.
  • Coordinates with Commisisons team to ensure Employment Agreement details (commissions specifically) do not interfere or contradict other contracts already in place.
