About The Position

Join Anderson County Hospital as a Paramedic and make a difference! The Opportunity: Anderson County Hospital in Garnett, KS is seeking a Paramedic to join our team. Paramedics provide advanced ALS skills often under arduous circumstances in the prehospital environment. Also provides critical care transportation to appropriate healthcare facilities. Responsible for triage to efficiently assess and prioritize patients according to acuity of their condition to provide emergency care including a variety of invasive and noninvasive procedures administration of medications and any procedures as may be deemed necessary by ordering physician based on practice standards. This Paramedic position performs duties within the scope of practice in an Emergency Room facility setting. Under the direction of the on-duty provider, the Paramedic will take patient vitals, monitor cardiac and respiratory status, administer approved medications, applies and adjusts orthopedic appliances, and assist the patient care team as directed. FT hours containing call shifts, on duty shift hours, weekday, weekend and holidays 7:00am-7:00pm for 12-hour shifts and 7:00am-7:00am for 24-hour shifts Valid Driver's License Paramedic - KS BLS, ACLS, PALS upon hire Why Saint Luke’s? Requirements

  • 2 years Applicable Experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Driver's License - Various
  • Paramedic (KS) - Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
