Requirements

  • Current Paramedic certification/license (state-specific requirements apply)
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to safely operate EMS vehicles and essential equipment
  • Ability to bend, sit, kneel, and lift up to 125 lbs; push/pull over 50 lbs
  • Maintain physical agility for safe patient handling in demanding environments
  • Tolerate extended periods of driving or riding in an ambulance
  • Perform effectively in physically strenuous and emotionally challenging situation

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic and advanced life support (BLS/ALS) within the Paramedic scope of practice
  • Safely operate and maintain emergency vehicles in compliance with state and local regulations
  • Deliver competent, compassionate patient care in a variety of clinical and transport settings
  • Effectively apply EMS protocols and procedures in various situations
  • Communicate professionally with patients, families, healthcare personnel, and team members
  • Document patient care accurately using our electronic charting system
  • Assist fellow EMS providers and provide thorough handoff reports
  • Ensure vehicle cleanliness and restock supplies as needed
  • Demonstrate ethical conduct and a commitment to patient care and safety
