Emerald Financial Group is a growing independent financial services practice of Thrivent. We take a broad-based approach to helping clients achieve multiple financial goals, with a primary focus on individuals and families who are approaching or currently in retirement and have at least $100,000 in investable assets. Thrivent Financial is a faith-based, not-for-profit financial services organization with approximately 2.6 million clients. Position Summary The Paraplanner position will come alongside our Advisors to learn how to create financial plans and soak up firm-specific procedures and processes. Key responsibilities include preparation of financial plans, investment research and analysis, and coordination of client service needs with team members. The Paraplanner reports to and is employed by Emerald Financial Group. This is an in-office position.

Requirements

  • FINRA SIE 7/66 as well as MN Life and Health licensing
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation/experience, 2+ years preferred
  • Extremely strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Technical computer aptitude and knowledge of business tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce) or ability to learn
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and maintain a high quality of work while experiencing frequent interruptions
  • Ability to maintain integrity of sensitive/confidential information
  • Basic understanding of our products, services, and Thrivent Financial
  • Must be able to work with all roles of the Emerald Financial Group
  • Must be able to represent the organization in work with external clients
  • Must be able to cultivate and maintain relationships with outside organizations
  • Must be comfortable participating in our digital and social media presence, including photos and videos featured on our website and platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram
