Organization Overview Excel Academy is a network of 5 schools in Massachusetts and Rhode Island that prepares students in grades 5-12 to succeed in high school and college and engage productively in their communities. The majority of our 1,700 students identify as Latinx or Hispanic and will be the first in their families to graduate from college. Your Impact Provide 1:1 individualized academic and behavioral support as outlined in their IEP to assigned student throughout the school day Support the student’s access to classroom instruction, helping them stay engaged with lessons and assignments Provide behavioral support and redirection aligned with the student’s behavior plan Encourage the student’s independence and confidence while gradually reducing support when appropriate Work with staff to develop behavioral intervention plans and implement plans to ensure student learning and classroom behavior goals are met Work with staff to adapt and provide academic support plans for student with special needs Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment Confer and collaborate with teachers to ensure accommodations are met in inclusive settings; and Provide input for student’s IEP
