About The Position

SUMMARY: The hourly Special Education Paraprofessional pay rate to work on assignment with Capital Area Intermediate Unit is $22.00/hour 5 days of Paid Time Off (prorated based on hire date) OPENING: Location: Future Ready Work Immersion Program , 6340 Flank Dr #600, Harrisburg, PA 17112 Will provide direct support to high school–aged students within community settings and on job sites, including delivering job coaching and workplace skill development Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 3:00pm, 30-minute unpaid lunch break Paraprofessionals will work on student days following the academic calendar year
Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- For Title I positions - Must pass for "highly qualified" as mandated by NCLB
- PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance
- PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance
- PA Department of Education FBI – Use code 1KG6XN
- TB Screening - current within 3 months
- Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts
Nice To Haves
- Associates or Bachelors Degree - preferred
- Prior public-school experience and/or working with school-aged children in a licensed, certified, or registered provider setting - preferred
