About The Position

Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health diagnosis.  PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research. A parenting coordinator assesses clients’ parenting needs and services for on-site parents in residential services. This includes assisting and guiding parents toward meeting DCF goals toward reunification, and coordinating child visitations with DCF, clients, and/or family. This includes facilitating or coordinating parenting groups to assist in building parenting skills to support the parent in developing parenting and co-parenting plans. Coordinates and ensures children living on property needs are met. The coordinator will work with a parenting case manager and a team of clinical staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Social Work, Human Services or related field or Bachelor’s Degree in another field plus minimum two years work experience with adolescent age and families.
  • Ability to write accurately and legibly
  • Moderate proficiency in the use of Microsoft Windows-based computers
  • Ability to accurately type at least 40 words per minute
  • Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time
  • Ability to bend and to sit in meetings for extended periods of time
  • Ability to move throughout program facilities both indoors and outdoors
  • Must have a valid driver's license or ID card
  • Must pass a level II background check and drug screen
  • Must maintain current training as required by Operation PAR, Inc.
