About The Position
If you love the idea of working outside at a Farmers Market, this might be the perfect part-time job for you! The Vancouver Farmers Market is hiring seasonal Parking Attendants to welcome shoppers and manage our donation-based parking lots during the market season. This role takes place at the Downtown Vancouver Farmers Market on Saturdays and Sundays. Parking Attendants are responsible for greeting and directing shoppers, ensuring a smooth parking experience, and accurately tracking and handling parking donations. If you're great with people, customer service-oriented, and ready to be a welcoming face at the market, we'd love to have you on our team!
Requirements
- Must be 16+ years of age
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Accurate and honest cash handling and management
- Ability to work independently and with diverse groups of people
- Be a reliable communicator via phone, email, etc.
- Must have access to reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background check
Nice To Haves
- Preference will be given to candidates who are Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Preference will be given to candidates living in Clark County, Washington.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and direct parking lot traffic
- Accept and handle cash donations and accurately count vehicles who enter the parking lots
- Provide excellent and friendly customer service to market shoppers, answer questions, and give information about the market and downtown area
- Collaborate and communicate with market managers throughout the market day
