About The Position

Parks Operator II Mows grass, cuts and sprays weeds on county property. Repairs and replaces park signs and park equipment. Performs minor repairs to park vehicles. Operates heavy equipment as needed. Drives bus to and from special events to transport participants. Repairs and replaces park fencing and performs concrete work. Held financially responsible for equipment used and uniforms issued. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• 2 years job related experience.
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions; general working knowledge of and ability to operate required equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with others.
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
