About The Position
We are seeking a part-time assistant to support our instructional design team in making our online Philosophy course content accessible to all students. This role involves reviewing lesson videos and remediating them per the WCAG 2.1, Level AA guidelines. This position offers valuable experience in accessibility and educational technology, contributing to a federally mandated project that promotes inclusivity and supports the instructional design team in delivering high-quality course content.
Requirements
- Completion of 300-level and 400-level Philosophy courses.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills.
- An interest in accessibility, educational technology, and inclusive educational practices.
- Ability to work independently, follow detailed guidelines, and meet deadlines
Responsibilities
- Participate in training and develop knowledge of how to create accessible courses materials.
- Review Philosophy course videos and create enhanced transcripts.
