Part-Time After-School Cosmetology Instructor- Hair/Makeup/Nails
About The Position
Teach engaging enrichment classes that help students explore new interests and build real skills. Concorde Education partners with schools to provide high-quality after-school programs led by passionate instructors. In this role, you will lead structured, hands-on sessions that introduce students to creative cosmetology skills and industry basics. Lead fun, interactive beauty and cosmetology activities for students in a flexible, part-time role. Classes typically meet once per week for about one hour, though some instructors choose to teach multiple programs per week depending on their availability. Concorde Education is hiring engaging instructors to lead enrichment classes that help students explore cosmetology concepts, creativity, and professional skills. Instructors lead structured enrichment lessons using weekly plans while adapting activities to the needs and interests of the students. Possible Class Topics Assignments vary by school and may include: Introduction to cosmetology careers and salon environments Nail care basics and introductory nail art Hair styling fundamentals such as braids, ponytails, and simple updos Makeup artistry basics and creative design Hygiene and sanitation practices used in beauty services Color theory and creative design concepts Professionalism and client communication basics Portfolio-style creative projects and design challenges
Requirements
- Minimum 60 college credits completed
- Experience in cosmetology, hair styling, makeup artistry, nail technology, or related beauty fields
- Experience working with youth (schools, camps, after-school programs, or tutoring)
- Strong communication and group facilitation skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
