We have an immediate opening for a Part-Time CLS Andrology Lab Technician to join our team at Reproductive Science Centers of the San Francisco Bay Area. This position will support our laboratory and clinic in San Ramon, California. Schedule: Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The weekday shift day is flexible and may vary based on operational needs. Compensation: $24 to $28 per hour (commensurate with experience) This role provides the opportunity to grow within a nationally respected organization while remaining closely connected to the patients and teams you support every day.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree with ASCP certification and CA license required for performing high complexity tests.
Current California CLS General License
1-2 years minimum experience, 2-4 years preferred.
Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer.
Knowledge of office procedures and office machines (i.e. computer, fax, copier, etc.)
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Ability to communicate accurately and concisely.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Demonstrated expertise in continuous quality improvement, customer service, and team building.

Responsibilities

Ship, receive, and dispose of frozen samples.
Order and receive lab supplies
Examine and process specimens for routine semen analysis.
Perform counts for concentration and motility, perform histological techniques for identifying leucocytes, immature germ cells, and morphology.
Process semen for ART procedures and intrauterine inseminations (IUIs)
Perform semen cryopreservation.
Assure proper sample collection, delivery, and identification (chain of custody)
Perform daily/monthly quality control procedures for media and equipment used in the Andrology laboratory.
Assist laboratory personnel in performing lab services in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and guidelines to ensure laboratory maintains accreditation.
