About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various areas of our facility in East Syracuse, NY, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all. We expect this position to be 20 hours per week, Monday – Friday, from 4pm-8pm.

Requirements

Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred
Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Good physical condition and ability to lift and move heavy objects

Responsibilities

Detail dust high and low areas
Spot clean all walls, light switches, and doors
Vacuum all carpets
Detail vacuum corners and edges
Dust mop hard surface floors
Damp mop hard surface floors
Clean both sides of door glass and wipe frames
Clean entrance glass
Vacuum walk-off mats
Damp wipe horizontal surfaces
Vacuum or brush upholstered furniture
Clean and sanitize telephones
Empty and remove trash
Empty shredders
Clean water fountains
Empty trash, refill supply dispensers, clean and disinfect restroom fixtures
Clean mirrors, counters, partitions, and chrome
Sweep and mop floor
Clean entrance doors inside and out
Dust/wipe flat surfaces in entrance and common areas
Wipe desks (where cleared), phones, and office equipment
Remove all trash and recycled items, including shredders
Vacuum carpet, runners, and tile floors; wet mop tile floors
Dust all flat surfaces in offices, including shelves, file cabinets, and windowsills
Clean conference room table and chairs
Thoroughly clean and sanitize each restroom, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors
Clean kitchen/break areas, including sink, counter, cabinets, and appliances
Remove cobwebs throughout office suites and entrances
