The Part-Time Data Center Technician supports daily facility operations by coordinating maintenance activities, monitoring building systems, and assisting with critical facility needs. This role works closely with internal teams and external service providers to help ensure building systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training in facilities, electrical, HVAC, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation, work orders, and system manuals.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and access tight or confined spaces as required.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach as needed to perform maintenance and inspection tasks.
  • Ability to work in environments that may include varying temperatures, noise levels, and mechanical equipment.
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency with basic computer applications and familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance, repair, and operational activities for building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections and assessments to ensure building systems are functioning properly.
  • Manage and prioritize work orders and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and manage the Building Management System (BMS) to support facility operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and service providers on building renovation and remodeling projects.
  • Collaborate with critical facilities managers to support additional daily operational tasks as needed.
