About The Position

This job profile is only for faculty members hired to complete a short-term and/or part-time academic work assignment, such as teaching one or more courses for one or two academic terms. Wage Faculty (Adjunct) may only be paid via Period Activity Pay. The McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia invites applicants for one or more part-time, faculty wage positions in the Finance Area, beginning in August 2026. The position will teach one or more sections (3.0 credit hours each) of Fundamentals of Real Estate Analysis, or related courses in Real Estate. Requirements

  • A master's degree in Business or a closely-related field is required; a Ph.D. in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Industry or educational experience in the Finance and/or real estate field is required; previous experience teaching finance in a higher education setting is preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaborative team skills and the desire to work in a dynamic environment that stresses teamwork, innovation, and student-centered learning.
