Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in the subject matter or closely related field
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Nice To Haves
- One (1) or more years’ teaching-related college-level courses (24+ credits).
- Experience using technology to enhance the learning environment, e.g., Blackboard, online instruction or other modalities/software.
Responsibilities
- Under the supervision of the Dean or designee, the Adjunct shall teach their assigned course(s) in accordance with approved course descriptions and class schedules, perform other related responsibilities, be available at reasonable times to confer with students outside of class, and maintain accurate student records.
- Teaching courses within the assigned discipline area in accordance with institutional standards
- Evaluating and assessing student learning outcomes
- Providing student support, mentoring, and academic advising
- Developing curriculum and periodically reviewing and updating instructional materials
