About The Position

Are you passionate about mentoring the next generation of nail artists? Highland Community College is seeking an Illinois-licensed Nail Tech Instructor. This is a part-time position scheduled for 28 hours per week. The scheduled days and hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Key Responsibilities: Teach state-mandated subjects including nail anatomy, sterilization, OSHA standards, and advanced techniques like acrylics and light-cured gels. Prepare students specifically for the Illinois State Board examinations. Oversee students performing services on the public to ensure safety and sanitation compliance. Maintain accurate records of student hours, grades, and attendance. What Were Looking for: Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Must hold a current Illinois Nail Technology Teacher or Cosmetology Teacher license. Must have 2 years of full-time experience as a practicing nail technician within the last 5 years.
