About The Position

The Nurse Practitioner provides compassionate medical and psychiatric care that supports the healing mission of The Heritage Community. Through assessment, treatment, and collaboration with the clinical team, the NP supports each student's physical and emotional wellbeing. This role focuses on both immediate medical needs and long-term health and growth.

Requirements

• Master's or Doctorate in Nursing required.
• Licensed APRN with prescriptive authority in Utah.
• Minimum of 2 years providing psychiatric or primary care to adolescents.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and psychotropic medications.
• Strong clinical judgment and crisis response skills.
• Excellent documentation and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to remain calm, reliable, and emotionally steady in high-pressure situations.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in residential or behavioral health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric and medical care to students, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
• Prescribe and monitor medications, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and interdisciplinary treatment teams.
• Respond to urgent medical or mental health concerns with clinical expertise and steady support.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to treatment planning.
• Educate students and families about diagnoses, medications, and long-term wellness strategies.
